Viking axe pendant made of bronze. (Replica of an axe from the Viking Age).
Viking axe blade modeled after the Jutland axe / Mammen from the tenth century in Jutland.
The original axe had silver wire inserts, a bird, animals with limbs, and other decorations.
It dates from the 10th century and is now in the National Museum in Copenhagen. The axe is a grave find.
It was placed in the grave of a Viking around 970 AD, during the reign of Harald Bluetooth (Old Norse "Haraldr blátǫnn").
This pendant was created based on the model of the Mammen axe.
