"Great Queen", also Morrígain, Morrígu, or Morríghan; closely associated with war, combat and sexuality from Irish Celtic mythology.
Besides being a war goddess, she is also an earth goddess, a fertility goddess, mistress of animals, lover, and witch queen.
As a triad goddess, she appears in threefold form: as a young girl, a mother, and an old crone. Thus, as a goddess of fate, she also symbolizes becoming, being, and passing away!
According to legend, Morrigan raged on the battlefields, prophesying death in battle. Her totem animal is the crow. In her appearance, she also shares some similarities with the Germanic Valkyries.
