Irminsul candle, Irmenseul, Tree of Life, Yggdrasil
Royal blue candle with high-quality silver Irminsul glitter print.
The Irminsul or Yggdrasil is both the world axis and the Midnight Mountain in Ultima Thule. As a tree of life, it roots in the earth and spreads its branches to the sky. In its truncated state, it is the column capital of ancient temples. The left spiral is the path from the vernal equinox to the summer solstice, the right from the autumn equinox to the winter solstice. The three angles are Ingo, Irmin, and Isk, the three tribal gods of the main peoples. They are sons of Mannus, the connector between gods and humans. Mannus stands for man = spirit. The three lower angles are the three Norns at the Urdbrunnr under the roots. The Irminsul stood at many excellent sanctuaries and was carried by the wandering tribes, the Atlantic North Sea Peoples of the Haunebu, as far as the Orient, where it inspired Persians and Egyptians.
