Early medieval leather bag, black kidney-shaped bag with fittings
This beautifully shaped belt pouch is typical of the late Middle Ages and can be found in this form in numerous contemporary paintings and in archaeological finds. It is made from a firm yet supple oiled nubuck leather and features a period-correct buckle replica. These kidney pouches were particularly typical in the late Middle Ages, in the 14th and 15th centuries.
Approximate dimensions: 20 x 18 x 2 cm.
Approximate internal dimensions: 20 x 10 x 2 cm.
Suitable for belts up to 5 cm wide.
