Elves are nature spirits that originally come from Norse mythology. In Old Norse they are called álfr.
Just as there are different types of humans, dwarves, giants, and fairies, there are also numerous types of elves.

For example, there are flower fairies whose job it is to help plants grow. Other fairies look after small animals and insects, while still others work with medicinal herbs.

Elves can change their size and appearance according to their circumstances. They can become taller or shorter.
