Elves are nature spirits, originally from Norse mythology. In Old Norse they are called álfr.
Just as there are different kinds of people, dwarves, giants and fairies, there are also numerous kinds of elves.

For example, there are flower elves, whose task is to support plants in their growth. Other elves are there for small animals and insects, while still others work with medicinal herbs.
Elves can change their size and appearance according to circumstances/adapt to them. They can become taller, but also smaller.
