Pineapple liqueur "Baldur's Goodness" Baldur, spring and light god, 18% vol., 0.5 ltr. bottle

The invulnerable Balder gives this liqueur its name.
Balder lives in Breidablik in Asgard and owns the ship Ringhorn. One day, Balder has a dream of his own death. His mother, Frigg, then goes to every animal and plant and asks them to swear an oath that they will not harm Balder. Frigg refuses to make the young mistletoe swear an oath, however, because it seems too insignificant to her. A game ensues among the Aesir, in which they pelt the now invulnerable Balder with spears, stones, and other weapons, without harming him. Loki takes advantage of the fact that the mistletoe didn't have to swear an oath. Loki gives Balder's blind brother, Höðr, a sprig of mistletoe and tells him to shoot with it. The sprig strikes Balder, and the god collapses dead.
The body is laid out on a ship, which only the giantess Hyrokkin can push into the water. Under the force of the impact, the rollers on which the ship stood catch fire and ignite the body. Thor blesses the cremated remains with his hammer Mjölnir. His father Óðinn gives the ring Draupnir to accompany Balder on his final journey to the underworld to the goddess Hel. Balder's wife Nanna dies of a broken heart during the funeral rites and is cremated along with Balder.
Hermodr tries to bring his brother back from Hel's realm. But Hel will only release Balder from her realm when all things mourn him. The Aesir send messengers throughout the world and succeed in making all living beings, and even stones and metals, mourn Balder. Only Loki, in the guise of the giantess Þökk, refuses them this favor. Consequently, Balder is denied his return to Asgard.
