Celtic goddess of the moon "Ceridwen", figure / statue, bronzed

Ceridwen (Cerreidwen) Celtic-Irish goddess of the moon, goddess of fertility, of life and wise goddess of death.

Cerridwen is the great Celtic-Welsh mother goddess and moon goddess, goddess of fertility, the earth, the harvest, and grain.
In various traditions, she stirs a magic potion in her cauldron made from 7 magical herbs.
This bubbling potion must be constantly stirred; it brings prosperity and transformations, leads to knowledge and inspiration, and creative power.
Under Cerridwen's special protection of her magic are therefore creative work, intentions for change, magic, inspiration, regeneration, and death, and of course, in eternal change, rebirth.
The cauldron symbolizes the womb of this fertility goddess, from which all life originates and to which everything returns (becoming, being, and passing away). According to legend, the potion can heal body, soul, and spirit.
Their herbal elixir, brewed with powerful magic, grants magical abilities and prophecies. Constant stirring sparks new ideas, and there is no skill that cannot be found in this cauldron.

The goddess Ceridwen, a druid priestess, possessed great magical powers and brewed the Potion of Knowledge in her cauldron, intended for her ugly son Afangdu. The potion had to simmer for a year and was guarded by the boy Gwion Bach. Ceridwen forbade the guardian from drinking it. However, during the brewing process, a few drops of the potion splashed onto Gwion's fingers. He licked them and thereby gained great knowledge and insight. Ceridwen grew angry and sought out Gwion, who tried to hide from her as a shapeshifter.

When Gwion transformed into a grain of wheat, Ceridwen quickly transformed into a chicken and pecked up the grain. Taliesin then grew inside her, thus bringing about her rebirth.

Made and cast from polyresin (artificial stone). The figure is solid and not hollow, and coated with real bronze.
