This beautifully shaped belt pouch is typical of the late Middle Ages and can be found in this form in numerous contemporary paintings and in archaeological finds. It is made from a firm yet supple oiled nubuck leather and features a period-correct buckle replica. These kidney pouches were particularly typical in the late Middle Ages, in the 14th and 15th centuries.
The detailed replica of a medieval buckle, based on a historical model, is the eye-catcher on the front of the kidney bag and ensures a secure closure.
