Cerridwen is the great Celtic-Welsh mother goddess and moon goddess, goddess of fertility, the earth, the harvest, and grain.
In various traditions, she stirs a magic potion in her cauldron made from 7 magical herbs.
This bubbling potion must be constantly stirred; it brings prosperity and transformations, leads to knowledge and inspiration, and creative power.
Under Cerridwen's special protection of her magic are therefore creative work, intentions for change, magic, inspiration, regeneration, and death, and of course, in eternal change, rebirth.
The cauldron symbolizes the womb of this fertility goddess, from which all life originates and to which everything returns (becoming, being, and passing away). According to legend, the potion can heal body, soul, and spirit.
