These included: 3-hole and 6-hole bone flutes, chamois horn, Falster pipe, Oseberg lur, Västerby horn, drum, lyre, pan flute, horn whistle, and others. A small accompanying booklet provides a detailed description of the origins of the melodies and the musical instruments used at the time. Special attention was paid to the reconstruction of the discovered melodies and the replicas of the historical instruments in the performance. A total of 12 different melodies are played, some of which are sung. However, some musical instruments from this period have been found during archaeological excavations.
